Building Community, Honoring Jesse: What We’ve Been Up To
Over the past few weeks, our board members at Jesse’s Justice have been out in the community connecting, listening, and continuing to lay the foundation for the work ahead.
As a newly established nonprofit, we believe that showing up matters. Building relationships, supporting other organizations, and being present in spaces that align with our mission are all essential steps in creating lasting change. Every conversation, every shared story, and every connection helps carry Jesse’s legacy forward in a meaningful way.
Family Resource Fair – Baystate Family Advocacy Center
We recently had the opportunity to participate in the Second Annual Family Resource Fair hosted by the Baystate Family Advocacy Center. This event, held during Child Abuse Prevention Month, brought together a wide range of organizations dedicated to supporting children and families throughout our community.
Being part of this space was incredibly impactful. We connected with other advocates, shared the mission behind Jesse’s Justice, and had meaningful conversations with families and community members. Events like this remind us how important collaboration is real change happens when communities come together with a shared purpose.
Never Forgotten, Standing Together: Victims Remembrance Event
We also attended the “Never Forgotten, Standing Together” Victims Remembrance Event a deeply moving and powerful experience.
Standing alongside other families who have experienced unimaginable loss was both emotional and grounding. This event created space for remembrance, reflection, and unity. It was a reminder that while every story is different, the need for support, advocacy, and change is something we all share.
Honoring victims and supporting one another is at the heart of what we do. Being included in this event meant so much to us, and it strengthened our commitment to continue pushing forward.
Looking Ahead
These past few weeks have reinforced why we started Jesse’s Justice. Community involvement isn’t just something we do it’s who we are.
As we continue preparing for our upcoming Jesse’s Justice Softball Tournament, we carry these experiences with us. The connections we’re building and the stories we’re hearing are shaping the future of this organization in real time.
We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us, welcomed us, and stood alongside us. This is only the beginning.
More updates and more ways to get involved are coming soon.
