An Update on Jesse’s Law: We’re Still Here

When we first began advocating for Jesse’s Law, we knew meaningful change wouldn’t happen overnight.

What we didn’t know was just how much patience, persistence, and hope would be required along the way.

Many of you have reached out asking for updates, and we wanted to share where things currently stand.

At this time, there have not been any substantive developments with Jesse’s Law during this legislative session. Because the bill was introduced as a late-filed bill, it faced additional procedural hurdles that timely filed legislation does not.

While we had hoped to see movement this session, our conversations with legislative partners have been encouraging. We’ve been assured that there is interest in refiling Jesse’s Law as a timely bill in the next legislative session, giving it a clearer path through the legislative process.

Of course, we wish progress could happen faster.

While this update may feel disappointing, it has only strengthened our resolve. We are committed to seeing this through and will continue working with legislators, supporters, and our community to move Jesse’s Law forward.

Our commitment has never depended on a timeline.

Jesse’s Justice was founded because one family experienced the unimaginable, and we believe that sharing Jesse’s story can help protect others and inspire communities to act when every second counts.

Our advocacy has always been about more than a single bill. It’s about creating a culture where people understand the importance of responding in emergencies, where calling 911 is never delayed, and where human life always comes before fear, confusion, or self-interest.

We know many of you have followed this journey from the beginning. Some of you have signed our petition, shared our posts, attended our events, donated to our mission, or simply reached out with words of encouragement. Every one of those actions matters.

To everyone who has stood beside us: thank you.

We also want to be clear about one thing we are not giving up.

If anything, this process has reinforced why this work is so important. Lasting change often takes time, and we are prepared to continue advocating for Jesse’s Law for as long as it takes.

Jesse’s life mattered.

His story matters.

And our commitment to honoring him through education, advocacy, and community support remains as strong today as it was the day we founded Jesse’s Justice.

How You Can Help

One of the most meaningful ways you can support Jesse’s Law is by helping us keep the conversation going.

If you believe that every person deserves timely emergency assistance and that communities should be empowered to act when seconds count, we invite you to share our petition with your family, friends, and social networks.

Every signature, every share, and every conversation helps raise awareness. Legislative change often takes persistence, but awareness grows one person at a time—and that starts with all of us.

Thank you for continuing to stand with our family and with Jesse’s Justice. Your support reminds us that we are not carrying this mission alone.

For Jesse. Always.
